Start your aquatic adventure with a three hour Sailing Lesson aboard a luxury yacht on the Hawkesbury River for just $79. This hands-on experience is ideal for beginners and pros alike. You’ll learn the skills you need to charter a ten metre yacht, such as steering, raising and lowering sails, rigging, securing, mooring and more. Purchase as many vouchers as you like and have a fun day out with friends!
This exciting, interactive experience will see you board a spacious and fully equipped ten metre yacht with a team of fellow skippers-to-be and your very own qualified guide to learn everything you need to know to charter a boat.
You’ll demonstrate how to start and stop the engine, raise and lower the sails as well as trimming and adjusting the head and main sail. You’ll also learn how to steer to correct wind conditions, how to set an appropriate course, tacking and jibing manoeuvres, man overboard exercises and even securing the yacht on a mooring.
Starting at the Gibson Marina in Pittwater, you’ll travel to Scotland Island, around to the basin and back, as you become mates with your fellow skippers and gain confidence on the high seas!
