  1. I had the following correspondence with Tony Sinclair, who offers free guided walks through Adelaide (but tips are of course welcomed!)

He can handle a tour of maximum 10 people

    Is anybody interested ??

    hello
we are visiting Adelaide with the cruise ship Dawn Princess on April 6th 2012; which is a Friday…
I understand that you organize walking tours only Saturdays, but is there any chance we (62+59) could use your services on this day as well?
Perhaps I could find more friends from the boat who are interested to join as well? Please let me know if we can promote your service in our group for this date, we are leaving the same Friday evening already, so no chance to do it another day. thank you for your attention and consideration

    Hi Hubert

With April 6th being Good Friday, I am available to take a small group around.

Just note that with it being a significant religious holiday in Australia, a lot of places would be closed.

I can still work out options to show certain parts of the city, in terms of street art, parklands with views, churches (as long as no services are happening) and various sculptures/statues.

I would prefer to keep the numbers to a lower level of approximately 10 people as it makes communication easier.

Let me know if you are happy with that proposal. Unfortunately I can’t control public holidays.

    Regards,

    Tony Sinclair

      • Since a lot of shops are closed in Adelaide on Good Friday, being public holiday, we finally decided to take an organized tour by Princess and not the Tony Sinclair walking tour I mentioned here above, but if anybody is interested, please contact him directly: tsinclair73@gmail.com

We booked this tour, but will ask some local friends if Rundle Mall will be open on Good Friday…??
City Drive & Cleland Wildlife Park
        ADL-100 | Adelaide, Australia | Group Size: 45
Explore fabulous Adelaide on a full-day guided sightseeing tour that includes shopping among the over 600 shops at Rundle Mall, lunch at a restaurant that boasts stunning views of the city, and a visit to Adelaide’s popular Cleland Wildlife Park, where you will meet koalas and kangaroos.

        an alternative would be
        Barossa Valley & Wine Tasting
Tour South Australia’s best-known wine region, the Barossa Valley, on this enjoyable wine-tasting extravaganza. Visit famed Jacob’s Creek Winery for a wine tasting, and also the sprawling Yaldara Estate. Then enjoy free time exploring Tanunda, a historic valley village that retains its unique German heritage.
