in the Sydney Opera House, you’ll have the following choices prior to the depart of the Dawn Princess: ….
Tuesday, March 13th: The Magic Flute by Mozart, ….
Wednesday, March 14th: The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart, ….
and Thursday, March 15th: Cosi fan Tutte, also by Mozart.
Brigitte and I have ordered 2 seats for the March 15th performance…

Pre Cruise Sydney:
Your opinion? Manly Oceanworld or Sydney Aquarium?
I received following review: have not been to oceanworld (Manly) for many years but when I last did it was not that good.
Sydney Aquarium is bigger and I think better, you can see the animals easier.
You can walk to the aquarium from the quay.

We went to the Aquarium last year, I believe there is a pass you can get for the Aquarium and the Wildlife park. Both are walking distance and both in Darling Harbour, a good walk from where the ship is docked too. There are hotels in the area should you need luggage stored, generally for a small fee too.
The Zoo is also easy to get to from one of the ferries that leave from Darling Harbour. The zoo has some amazing animals too see as well as spectacular views of the city.

Taking Pictures in Sydney:
one famous spot is from Macquarie Char http://g.co/maps/bct9q where you have both Harbour Bridge and the Opera House on one picture
If you want to go for a ferry ride you can go to Manly and stay on the ferry to go back or get off and then wait for the next one.
While on the Ferry, you also get the best pictures of Sydney’s Skyline

Pre Cruise Sydney
Brigitte and I booked a Blue Mountain Tour with a mini bus (max 14 people) for March 14th with
Berto & Alena Michail
Blue Diamond Tours

I think a smaller bus is more fun, you will better understand anything being said (aussie slang is not always easy to understand), and the price difference is not too big compared to the large bus tours

We will pick you up from the Ibis Hotel Darling Harbour at 7am, March 14th.
If friends decide they want to go as well they can book when they are ready & I’ll make sure your together in the same bus.

I’ve Read somewhere that in sydney on the Overseas Passenger Terminal, where the Sydney RT cruisers will embark, during waiting in line , often luggage has been stolen in the hectic… Please keep your tickets, passports, boarding papers and money on your body and not in your luggage
or the ship will leave without you as you need those papers to get aboard…!

I can attest to this!! It is incredibly hectic at this terminal, we were caught in the mayhem on a previous cruise.
